In this clip, our Dean of Students, Bishop Dr Leonard Amechi, provides us with some insight into what his role entails at CTC. (At the time of the interview, he had not yet been ordained as Bishop; hence the title “Rev”)
Last Saturday we at CTC attended the celebration Last Saturday we at CTC attended the celebration and ordination of two of our colleagues. Bishop Moses Owusu-Sekyere (CTC Director of Spiritual and Ministry Formation) consecrated as the presiding Archbishop of Apostolic Pastoral Congress (APC) and Rev Dr Leonard Amechi (CTC Dean of Students) as one of the APC Bishops!

It was wonderful to see the blending of ancient African Christian traditions with African Pentecostal praise, worship, and spirituality at the ceremony!

Rev Dr Anderson Moyo shares this powerful insight Rev Dr Anderson Moyo shares this powerful insight during his session titled ‘Diaspora Mission: Developing an Intercultural Church Model.’
Reverend Peter Oyugi, one of our associate lecture Reverend Peter Oyugi, one of our associate lecturers at CTC, recently delivered a lecture titled ‘Understanding the Worldviews of the West for Diaspora Mission Engagement.’

In his lecture, he defined Diaspora Missiology as a field that examines how Christian communities can engage with and serve people living away from their indigenous homelands. Reverend Oyugi emphasized the significance of this study in equipping the church to effectively minister to diaspora peoples, viewing them as both a mission force and a mission field.

Dr Matt Reifsnider recently gave a lecture on the Dr Matt Reifsnider recently gave a lecture on the “Biblical Basis for Diaspora Mission”. The overarching message from Dr Reifsnider’s lecture revolves around the idea of diaspora as a God-directed movement that plays a significant role in both scattering and gathering people for the purpose of mission and redemption. The concept is tied to biblical narratives, where diaspora refers to the scattering of people (such as in the Old Testament with Israel’s exile) and the gathering of people (like the return from exile or in the formation of Israel).

Although often resulting from judgment or persecution, this movement is also seen as an opportunity to spread God’s message across different lands and cultures. It embodies a mission to connect diverse groups of people to God’s redemption plan. It highlights both the physical and spiritual scattering of people and the call to embrace foreigners with love and equal rights, aligning with God’s command to honour all people.
We’re excited to share that a few of our CTC sta We’re excited to share that a few of our CTC staff members—Dr Usha Reifsnider, Rev Dr Israel Olofinjana, and Rev Dr @drebenadu are participating in the fourth @lausannemovement Congress in Seoul, Incheon this week. They are joining 5,000 Christian leaders to discuss strategies for sharing the gospel, supporting marginalised communities, and advancing social justice and reconciliation.

The Lausanne Movement began in 1974 with the inaugural Lausanne Congress on World Evangelisation, held in Lausanne, Switzerland. It brings together evangelical leaders from diverse backgrounds to collaborate on sharing the gospel and addressing global challenges. The movement emphasises the importance of evangelism, social justice, and holistic mission, aiming to inspire and equip Christians to engage with the world effectively. Through various congresses and initiatives, it seeks to unite believers in promoting the message of Christ across cultures and contexts.
Excited to share insights from our ‘Introduction Excited to share insights from our ‘Introduction to Diaspora Mission’ lecture, taught by our principal, Rev Dr Eben Adu!

He explored the four types of Diaspora mission

1. Mission TO the Diaspora
2. Mission THROUGH the Diaspora
3. Mission BY and BEYOND the Diaspora
4. Mission WITH the Diaspora

Each approach highlights the diverse ways we can engage with and support our global community. Let’s embrace these principles as we seek to live out our faith in meaningful ways! 🙏💙 #DiasporaMission #FaithInAction #CTC

How many human authors contributed to the Bible? 🤔 Rev Dr Israel Oluwole Olofinjana, who lectures on the Doctrine of Scripture in our Introduction to Theology module, has the answer!

Did you know that around 40 authors contributed to the Bible?

But what exactly is the Doctrine of Scripture? It is a theological principle that explains the nature, authority, and purpose of the Bible. It covers beliefs about divine inspiration, the inerrancy of the scriptures, and their role in guiding our faith and practices. Essentially, it asserts that the Bible is God’s revealed word, crucial for teaching, reproof, correction, and training in righteousness.

In his recent lecture on Theology Proper, Rev Dr O In his recent lecture on Theology Proper, Rev Dr Ohaeri Nnaemeka (Associate Lecturer) explained how the Trinity is shown in the Benediction/Blessing in 2 Corinthians 13:14:" "The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us all." This passage exemplifies the cooperative and distinct roles within the Godhead, a central tenet in Christian doctrinal studies.

Rev Dr Nnaemeka further engaged students by linking this scriptural reference to key New Testament texts, including the account of Jesus’ Baptism in Matthew 3:13-17 and the Trinitarian formula for baptism prescribed in Matthew 28:19. These passages collectively highlight the active participation of the Holy Spirit alongside the Father and the Son, offering a profound insight into the complex yet unified nature of divine operations in Christian theology. #trinity #benediction
