Revd Dr David Wise

David holds a BA in Theology from London Bible College, an MA in Biblical Interpretation from the London School of Theology and a DTh from Roehampton University. David’s doctoral research was into the creation of genuinely inter-ethnic local church congregations.

David contributed two chapters to and was one of the editors of Polyphonic God: Exploring Intercultural Theology, Churches and Justice (2025), Israel Olofinjana, David Wise and Usha Reifsnider (eds.), London, SCM Press. David is an ordained and accredited minister of the Baptist Union of Great Britain and has served as a pastor or interim minister at five London churches, the longest of which was 32 years at Greenford Baptist Church. He was an MA tutor at ForMission College on their MA in Missional Leadership for seven years and was the Programme Leader for an MA in Spiritual Formation at Waverley Abbey College for five years.

David’s main role currently is as a mentor/coach for Christian leaders; he is accredited at the Senior Practitioner level by the EMCC. Additionally, he speaks at conferences and churches, especially on the subject of inter-ethnic church.

David is married to Lesley, with three grown-up, married children and five grandchildren. He lives on the south coast of the UK.
